    Event Registration:
If you have not already done so, please register for the conference.

Attending the conference is a great way to relax, engage and get to know the audience, prior to your lecture. This often leads to stories that you can allude to in your own lecture.

    • Make certain to only register for the portion that you will attend. For example, if you are only attending day 1, please register only for that day.
    • There is no need to register if you do not plan to join us for meals. Registration provides an accurate count for the Marriott.
    • Registration also allows you to register for other activities such as: the Industry Sponsored Dinner (free), the Cheers to Nurses Painting Event ($25), and morning yoga ($25).
Presentation Slide Deck: *due on April 21st*
    • Upload here.
    • If you are unable to upload, please share your powerpoint to a cloud-based storage program – use president@neann.org for the sharing email.
    • Please ALSO bring your presentation on a flash drive to ensure that there will be no issues accessing the presentation.
    • This deadline is important! All slide decks must be on the event laptop prior to the conference starting, to ensure that there are smooth transitions between speakers.
    • There is no required power point template. We encourage you to use your organization’s branded power point template.
    • It’s Nurses Week! We’d love for you to begin your presentation with a brief story about a nurse who has impacted your personal and/or professional journey. Feel free to share a picture or place a slide in your deck to ensure you remember. 😊
    • If you have any video content, please consider burning these videos so you may embed them into the slides. This will ensure that there are no issues with linking to an outside website, slow uploads, etc…
    • There will be an audio feed into the conference room speaker system. We encourage the use of any AV content that might add interest and/or engagement
Speaker Bio: *due on April 21st*
Please provide a brief introductory highlight of your training, experience and professional accomplishments so we may properly introduce you. Please try to keep this to under ½ page. Upload HERE.
      Back-Up Plan:
Consider all possibilities and have a plan prepared, just in case of illness, a family emergency, etc. This might include:

          • Backup speaker replacement to present in your absence.
          • Virtual presentation
          • Video- recording of your session (last resort)
          Goosechase Activity:
NEANN purchases an event engagement tool called Goosechase to gamify the conference and have a bit of fun.

Goosechase is an app-based E-Scavenger Hunt that attendees download at the start of the conference. Attendees will be presented with numerous challenges, missions, questions, or activities to complete. Each of these missions are scored based on level of activity.

There will be challenges loaded into the app related to Mystic, the vendor hall, pictures at the photo booth, lectures, networking, and all of the event activities.

Historically, our speakers have come up with some creative challenges. These activities do not have to be completed during the lecture. They can be completed outside of the lecture hall but should absolutely be related to the content of your lecture!

Here are some examples from previous conferences:

            • Lecture on Music Therapy – Snap a picture of the lyrics to a song that reminds you of a loved one.
            • Lecture on Innovation – What nurse invented the first Code Cart? And If you could invent one item to improve day-to-day care, what would it be?
            • Lecture on Oral Feeding – Take a picture of the body part involved with the 2 most important sense required for successful feeding.
            • Lecture on Skin to Skin Care – Take a video with your colleagues, organizing a safe hold with the oscillator.

The winner of the scavenger hunt will receive a great prize at the end of the conference!

We can help with these challenges, based on the content of your slides (once you send them). If you cannot think of anything yourself, don’t worry! Please just let us know!
            Equipment:
            • 12-foot-wide stage with podium
            • The podium will have a laptop computer with your slide deck loaded, accessible in presentation mode (you may see your notes, but the audience will not).
            • A technician will be in the room for any AV concerns. We encourage you to make use of the breaks, or join us early to ensure that videos play without issue, etc..
            • Lapel Microphone (hands free)
            • Slide advancer with laser pointer.
            • 1 16-foot-wide screen on one side of the stage.
            Recording/Photos:
            • Sessions will not be recorded or streamed.
            • NEANN reserves the right to take photos during the event, which may be used in social media postings or future marketing materials.
            Speaker Check-in:
            • Most faculty will be attending the entire conference, but if you are only attending your own presentation, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your lecture.
            • You will be directed to one of our team members who will assist you with instructions, support, water, and answer any questions you may have.
            Social Media:
